THE NEW MILLENIUM, INITIAL, CHURCH STRUCTURE
The inside of the sanctuary is wide open. Off to the sides are folding banquet tables and folding chairs. When the service begins the chairs are setup into the open space, leaving room between each row so that people can walk freely and mingle with others in the congregation.
The first order of business is for members of the church to come up to the altar in the front to give TESTIMONIES of God’s work in their lives. As members share about God in their lives the faith of all is edified. Each person is to give their name and their street so that members will be able to become friends and the community of believers is strengthened. The period for giving testimonies continues until everyone who wishes to share has done so.
The next activity is to honor God with worship music. While the people are praising God already for all His wonderful works in the lives of His people, they can continue to touch Him and be touched by Him through worship and praise, augmented by music and dance.
The next structured activity is to have people come up to the front for prayer and prayer for healing. The whole church participates in supplication to God on behalf of the member asking for help.
Next the banquet tables are set up along the side walls and the back with chairs and various activities take place. One table is for the children to join together in play time with coloring books or papers with images on them to color, with ink markers and crayons. Other children activities similar to these are set at the kid’s table.
There is a table setup for people to come and see any written and audio materials produced by the church pastor or visiting pastor.
Other tables regarding the various outreaches of the church are set up for people to browse or become a participant.
Downstairs, food is available, set up by volunteers and members who bring food and it is all for free for members or anyone who comes to the church even if it is just for a meal.
While all the table activities are happening, the pastor is at the front, receiving members who have a word for the church. Also members who wish to converse with the pastor regarding their calling, or what they believe their role is with the church.
After the pastor concludes these conversations then he invites anyone who is not saved to come up to the front to give their lives to Jesus and be prayed over and ministered to. This ministry includes deliverance and healing and an attempt to discern their calling.
After people who convert are prayed for then there is the baptism in water to be done. All those who wish to be baptised come to the front. Also those who wish to be prayed over to receive the baptism and filling with the Holy Spirit would come up at this time.
After the baptism activity, again the church sanctuary is prepared with chairs and the banquet tables are taken down, and the Pastor will give the message from God for that day. The message he gives will be determined by all the activities that took place that day, and not necessarily decided beforehand. Thus, pastors can give fresh manna (word) to the congregation that uniquely targets the life of the community in God.
After the message the people are dismissed with the benediction and more music for praise, worship and dancing is performed. The people can mill about making friends and praying for one another until they wish to leave.
God bless us and give us a new format for the conduction of His church, in Jesus’ Name.
