It was the first programming project in my whole life that stumped me. What I had to do, was research the xmlrpc.php for hours and then leave it alone for a few days. After a few months of frustration, discouragement, and losing confidence, my breakthrough came in the first week of August 2007. I give all the credit and glory to God, for slaying the xmlrpc monster for WordPress 2.1.3.
There were many obstacles to discovering how to post a message to a WordPress blog via the MetaWeblog API in the xmlrpc.php file. The most difficult obstacle is exactly how to access the functions and execute them. I dabble in PHP programming, so the solution to this problem was formidable to me. What was more perplexing is that searches on the internet would not readily yield the answer. (…)
