Beloved saints
I believe the message the Lord laid on my heart last week has relevance, even for those who have nothing to do with the current outpouring in Lakeland, Florida. It is a message for the whole Body in this season. May the Holy Spirit add revelation and confirmation to His Word:
I have so much burning in my heart concerning the present position of the Body of Christ and what the Spirit is doing in these days. There is much debate about the Florida outpouring and whether it is of God or whether it isn’t. Some are running with it and saying it is wonderful. (…)

SAN ANTONIO - The president of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) says the denomination will only experience God’s true favor and blessings when individuals practice personal repentance over arrogance and pride.
In his address as SBC president, Dr. Frank Page said the costs of spiritual warfare are high. He preached from King David’s prayer of repentance in Psalm 51, and said the passage shows that a Christian’s joy can be lost if there is unconfessed sin in that person’s life.
Page said the passage also shows that once sin is confessed, a Christian will have a burning desire to be a soul winner.
“You want to know why our baptisms continue to languish, in a day and time when people are receptive to the gospel? In a day and time when people can be reached — and they will listen?” Page asked. (…)

“Outside the walls of the City I saw the corporate expression of the company of those who would overcome, all as ONE MAN, and all of them were impaled together as ONE MAN upon a cross. The cross was set outside of the City for nothing unholy or unclean can enter the City of the Lord. As I was beholding the crucifixion of this one who desired only the Lord and His fullness I was elevated to a height wherein I could view the inner parts of the City, the river of the waters of life, and the tree of life in the midst of the City. As I beheld these two scenes together I could see that as the ONE MAN expired upon the cross outside the City, so the fruit on the branches on the tree of life blossomed and increased and came to life on all the branches of that tree inside the City. Something happened to me in the spring of 2005 that changed my life forever. A common morning was altered by an awe inspiring mystery. As i arose and was rounding the bed, my body suddenly shook violently and i could see in my mind the word, EARTHQUAKE.
Now this only lasted a few seconds but i had to sit a few minutes to contemplate what had just happened, for this was a very powerful experience. I didn’t talk about it or tell anyone for a month or so. To do so would have somehow diluted its significance. This wasn’t my first encounter with such a strong leading from the Holy Spirit but truly the most unusual.
Finally, i told my pastor. (…)
