pjbaby gave me great advice about posting a testimony here regarding my New Age nickname. I agreed and will write it out here unscripted.

I said the sinner’s prayer in 1979 @ the age of 20 and started reading the bible and learned and asked for the Holy Spirit. I attended a local Baptist church for about 2 years and was baptized with my mother by immersion.
Years later I would look back and realize that I actually believed in Jesus when I was around 5 years old when I heard the gospel imbedded within a rock and roll song called "Spirit In the Sky". We had a picture of Jesus on our wall in those days, and when I heard in the lyrics about Jesus, I believed in Him fully at that time. (…)

Regarding the question which was generally asked, as to why did Jesus have to DIE to save all mankind, I commented twice:

Another facet of what Jesus did, in His Death on the cross was killing the carnal-man on the cross. This understanding ties in with our need to present our own bodies as a living sacrifice _and_ taking up our own crosses daily - i.e. crucifying our own carnal-mind and its lies that it whispers in our minds. This Dream woke me at 04:30 today, 13 August 2007.
I sat in a small wooden church - like a country church - with a group of pastors in several rows facing the pastor chairing the meeting. Pastors in the first row were generally taller and stronger men, both physically and spiritually, than those in the second row where I sat.
The pastor to my right turned and spoke, "I have a strong feeling something is about to happen. (…)

I was reading as I noticed the room dimming. I looked up to see a dark cloud floating in the clear blue sky toward the houses on the riverbank where I live in a small rural town in western Montana, set in a beautiful quiet valley in the mountains. It came out of nowhere at about 6:40 PM.
