I know we will have professional and amateur competitions and sports teams in the Kingdom of God. I know that God has nothing against such activity and would participate in them with us, Himself!
The Question for us, now, is how do we transition our current sports leagues and teams into ones that are fully planted in the Kingdom of God?

Why we weren’t raptured on Rosh Hashanah!

Okay…..after much study of where we are at in the world socially, economically, politically, weatherly =), God’s time cycles, specific words of Jesus about Jerusalem being trampled down by the Gentiles (which ended in 1967), the importance of the number 40 as a period of transition/grace, the significance of the Jewish Feast days, the rapture dreams I’ve had lately, the tremendous urgency I feel that time is desperately running out, and what were seemingly very clear answers from God that I was on the right track….I concluded that it was extremely likely that the rapture would indeed be at the last trump on Rosh Hashanah 2007. Oh Chris, when I was asking the Lord about all this yesterday morning right after I woke up, He said something very briefly to me. I was being a teeny bit whiney I thought and wanting Him to tell me when the Rapture is. Like little kids in the back seat, “Are we there yet, Daddy? Are we there yet?” He just said to me in a very calm way “Do you trust me?” It was so calm and peaceful but so huge inside me. I just calmed down immediately. His will be done. Just submit to His will and stop fretting over when and how. Do we trust Him? WIll He do the right thing? Will it happen on time? Does he love us? All our needs are met by His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus. He meets all our needs. Just rest in it. (…)

Rosh HaShanah is referred to in the Torah as YOM TERUAH, the Day of the Sounding of the shofar (or the day of the awakening blast). On Yom Teruah (Rosh HaShanah), it is imperative for every person to hear (Shema) the shofar. The mitzvah (biblical commandment) of the shofar is to HEAR (Shema) the shofar being blown, not actually to blow it yourself, hence the blessing for the shofar "to hear the sound of the shofar".
Teruah means "an awakening blast". A theme associated with Rosh HaShanah is the theme "to awake". (…)

Hell again. My name is Stephanie . I live in Ontario Canada. I have been visiting 5 Doves for some time now . I am a retired Registered Nurse , and by retired I mean I became a stay-at home mom — 18 years ago, to raise up 2 daughters . I just felt a strong calling to always be at home with them. Right now I am homeschooling my one daughter as the other daughter is finished her homeschooling. I couldn’t take the Public school system anymore. After I stopped nursing, my husband took care of all the finances which was somewhat of a struggle as we are just a middle income family. (…)
